AMC3 Kickoff

On February 7th 2023, a consortium was formed with the ambition of reshaping the cyber certification of software used by the military.

The AMC3 project (Automated Methodology for Common Criteria Certification) brings together UCLouvain, CETIC, the Royal Military Academy, and FN Herstal.

Together, the consortium members will modernise the Belgian defence certification processes in the field of cybersecurity. Specifically, the aim is to improve the reliability of updates to defence software and IT systems to significantly increase the institution’s protection against cyber threats.

Over a period of 4 years, this consortium, funded by the Defence Related Action program of the Belgian Ministry of Defence, will aim to develop a methodology and process based on the highest cyber security standards, and then to apply this methodology to high-value military and industrial applications.
